Evolve 3v3 Basketball League

This Evolve League welcomes players of all skill levels, though we recommend that all players have at least some basketball experience and an understanding of the basic rules of the game (such as fouling and travelling violations) to play in the league.  Evolve Basketball Performance Academy strongly believes that 3v3 is a powerful tool for player development at all ages:

1.     MORE PLAYING TIME

With only 4 players per team, there's only ever one substitute. Therefore, everyone receives a significant amount of playing time. 
 

2.     PLAYERS HAVE THE BALL MORE AND GET MORE OPPORTUNITIES

Only 3 players per team on the court means each player gets the ball in their hands more and has more opportunities to create and be involved in on-ball actions. 
 

3.     THERE'S MORE SPACE TO PLAY

With only 6 players on the court, there is much more open space for players to move and operate, allowing more space to dribble, drive, pass, cut and make decisions.

4.     SIMPLIFIES THE GAME, ENHANCING LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

Fewer teammates and defenders allows the players to simplify what they see on the court and provides more time and space to make decisions and implement skills.

5.     HELPS TO DEVELOP DEFENSE:

Fewer players on the court forces defenders to cover greater distances, and players are more frequently involved in defending the ball and in on-ball actions.  Players quickly learn that they must rely on each other, and communicate effectively, to get stops in this environment.
